The dashboard
The dashboard is where you land after signing in. It answers one question — what needs me today? — and it deliberately looks different depending on how far along your workspace is.
While you’re setting up
A new workspace opens on Get started, a three-step checklist:
- Register your first aircraft — the aircraft you operate, so flights have something to be logged against.
- Add a crew member — the people who fly them.
- Log your first flight — the record everything else hangs off.
The order isn’t arbitrary: each step makes the next one possible. Until all three are done, the checklist stays at the top, because there is nothing meaningful for the operational panels to show yet.
Once you’re running
When all three are complete the checklist drops away for good and the screen becomes Operations overview — your fleet at a glance. You don’t dismiss the checklist and nothing is hidden; it simply has nothing left to ask.
From then on the dashboard shows:
- Quick actions — the handful of things you start most often, without navigating first.
- Fleet status — how many aircraft you have and what state they’re in.
- The schedule board — what’s flying, at a glance.
- Active alerts — what needs attention now. See Alerts for where those come from and who else gets told.
- Upcoming maintenance and upcoming flights — what’s coming, so it isn’t a surprise.
- Recent activity — what’s changed in the workspace lately.
A panel is never a blank box
Every panel manages its own loading, empty and error states, so a quiet panel tells you which quiet it is: still loading, genuinely nothing to show, or something went wrong. A panel that can’t load its data says so and leaves the rest of the dashboard working — one slow query never blanks the page.
If a panel reports an error that doesn’t clear on refresh, use the Feedback button and say which panel.
What you see depends on your role
The dashboard reflects your own access rather than the whole organization’s. Most noticeably, a crew member set to own assignments only sees their own flights in the schedule and upcoming panels, not everyone’s. Crew & roles covers the tiers.
