Alerts

Alerts are the things Tobren Operations noticed on your behalf: a maintenance item gone overdue, a crew member’s knowledge recency about to lapse, an insurance document expiring. Find the inbox under Alerts in the nav — it’s also where the dashboard’s alert panel sends you.

What raises an alert

AlertRaised when
Maintenance dueA tracked maintenance item passes its interval. See Maintenance.
Knowledge recency (§107.65)A crew member’s aeronautical knowledge recency is lapsing or lapsed.
Flight recencyA crew member hasn’t flown inside your organization’s flight-recency window — a house policy, not a Part 107 rule.
Insurance expiryAn insurance document is approaching or past its expiry date.
Document expiryAny other tracked document is approaching or past its expiry date. See Documents.
Access expiryA time-limited aircraft access grant is running out. See Fleet.

Each alert carries a severity — info, warning, or critical — its message, how long it’s been open, and a link straight to the record that triggered it, so you can go fix the thing rather than go find it.

Alerts also feed compliance reports: a fleet report’s overall status turns critical when a critical alert is open.

Dismissing an alert

Dismiss silences an alert. It takes at least a Member role — a Viewer sees the inbox but not the action.

Dismiss is the only action, deliberately. It silences the alert; it does not assert that the underlying record was fixed. If the condition still exists, the fix is on the record itself — service the maintenance item, file the recency date, upload the renewed document.

Email and push delivery

Every alert appears in the app on every plan, free included — nothing is ever withheld from the in-app inbox.

Sending that alert out of the app — by email or push notification — is a paid-plan feature. On the free plan the alert row is still created and still visible in the inbox; only the outbound delivery is skipped, and it’s recorded as skipped rather than silently dropped.

Which channels a given person receives is their own preference, set per user in Settings.
